This intensive sculpting workshop offers a unique 5-day experience of creating a life-size clay portrait from a live model in the inspiring setting of Rnv Lab in Pordenone, Italy.
Portraiture is one of the most celebrated art forms, enabling artists to capture an individual’s appearance and personality through their unique perspective and artistic sensibility. Sculpting from life is a deeply enriching practice, essential for developing a keen visual vocabulary and a deeper appreciation of the human form. Creating a portrait from a live model is particularly effective for aspiring sculptors to refine their techniques and discover their distinctive artistic voice.
This workshop focuses on direct observation techniques and the study of basic human head anatomy, proportions, linear and volumetric qualities, composition, and aesthetic principles.
